Learning is a journey that starts at Schooner

Created by Chicago parents, for Chicago parents, Schooner is a daycare and preschool where everyone thrives: children, parents and caregivers.

What Makes Schooner Special

Hand Designed Curriculum

Schooner’s hand designed curriculum uses modern trends in early childhood education to ensure your child has a well rounded experience. We combine the structure of daily lessons with the freedom children need to explore their interests.

A Realistic Schedule

Schooner was founded by working parents with a background in early childhood education. We know there are days when schools are closed, but you still have to work. We’re here for you.

Community For You, Too

Being a parent can be hard! At Schooner, you’ll have monthly opportunities to connect with other parents and grow your circle. Schooner hosts monthly happy hours, park meet ups, and open houses to build community and foster connections.

What Parents Are Saying

This is more than a daycare center- our children have learned so much during their time there and I’m always amazed at what knowledge they bring home every week.

We absolutely love Schooner! Every teacher and administrator is so loving and kind and so focused on the well being and development of our kids.

Developmentally, my child’s speech, memory, play and motor skills progressed perfectly. She absoutely loved her teachers, as did I.
— Cara C
They invest a lot in creating a community - planning get togethers for families or happy hours for parents only, which is really nice, especially for new parents or families that are new to the neighborhood.

The teachers, administrative staff, and owners are wonderful and truly care about the students (and parents). We have been so impressed with how our girls have grown there - emotionally and academically.

Our daughter loved going to school and developed close relationships with her teachers and classmates through consistency, education, kindness and a strong sense of community.
